What Counseling Looks Like With Me
Professional Counseling Services
I’m glad you’re here.
You’ve been carrying a lot, maybe for longer than you even want to admit. You’ve learned how to keep going, how to function, how to show up for others, even when something inside you has felt tired, stretched thin, or dimmed. On the outside, you may look steady and capable. But on the inside, you’re aware of a quiet ache and a sense of disconnection from yourself, your needs, or your sense of meaning.
You might be moving through the aftermath of a painful relationship, healing from emotional harm, navigating the echoes of childhood experiences, or trying to understand why old patterns keep resurfacing. You may not be in crisis, but you also know you’re not at peace. Something in you is asking for more, whether that’s more grounding, more clarity, more peace, or more of your authentic self.
Nothing about your story is random.
The ways you learned to cope made sense.
The ways you protected yourself were wise.
Together, we’ll move gently by exploring how your past shaped your present, reconnecting with parts of you that had to go quiet, and making space for a life that feels more aligned with who you truly are.
There is no rushing here.
No performance.
No pressure to “be better” quickly.
Just steady, compassionate presence with room to breathe.
You don’t have to figure this out alone.
Summer Rippe, MA, PhD Candidate, LPC, NCC
Hello!
I’m Summer. I’m a trauma-informed counselor and PhD candidate whose work centers on meaning, identity, and healing after harm. I integrate EMDR and Internal Family Systems within a calm, collaborative space where your story is honored and not rushed.
I don’t believe you need to become someone new.
I believe healing is remembering who you are.
My role is to walk alongside you, steadily and with care, as you reconnect with the parts of yourself that have been waiting to be seen.
How We’ll Work Together
We begin with grounding and safety.
We move at a pace that your body and story can hold.
And when you’re ready, we may process deeper experiences together, but only when it feels supportive, and not overwhelming.
This is the process of meaningful healing.
The kind that lasts.
The kind that lets you belong to yourself again.
